Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sourdough bread?

Sourdough bread is slow-fermented bread. It’s unique because it does not require industrial yeast in order to rise. Instead, it’s made with sourdough starter, which acts as a natural fermenting agent. Our Sourdough is known for its low tangy flavor, perfect texture and crisp, crackly crust. Besides being amazingly tasty, sourdough has many health benefits.

What are the ingredient that you use?

Our breads are freshly baked with no added preservatives, we are carefully choosing our sources with preference to a local and organic ingredients. Our Sourdough breads are made from 3 ingredients - flour, water, and salt (plus your choice of add-ons).

How should I store my bread?

Sourdough loaves need to breathe! Please keep your fresh loaf out of the fridge for the best crust and crumb. Once cut, place the cut side down on a surface and the crust will protect the rest of the loaf from drying out.

Can I freeze the breads?

You can absolutely freeze all of our breads.
Sourdough bread- slice and freeze in a bag. That way you can defrost/heat each slice whenever you want.
Challah bread- if you eat it the traditional way by tearing/pull apart, you can freeze it whole and just thaw the day you want to consume it (a few hours before). It will be just like a fresh one. In addition, after thawed, you can give it a few minutes in the oven so it will be nice and warm.
If sliced, then just like the sourdough bread- slice, freeze, and thaw individually.
